“Nephilim Among Us” Book Review

This book intrigued me by the title. (He had me at “Nephillim”… 🙂 ) I heard about it from a YouTuber who a friend recommended. [Click the picture to be taken to the book on Amazon.com]

This YouTuber, Steve Isdahl from Howtohunt, mentioned it in one of his videos. Here is one of the links to his channel discussing Bigfoot –

Steve talked about encounters with Bigfoot that he and others of his acquaintance had experienced. Then, he mentioned how this book had been helpful to him and had explained some of the encounters he was aware of.

After I heard about the book –

I ordered a copy immediately and read it quickly when I received it. The author, Scott Carpenter, described encounters with mysterious creatures when he was in the woods. He began actively investigating and filming when he took trips into forested areas. He describes his process in doing this, as well as showing some of his findings. Many times, he would walk through the woods with a camera on his shoulder pointing behind him. When he did this, he captured some unusual photos and video.

The most intriguing part of the book to me involved DNA testing on hair and blood samples from these…”whatever-they-are.”

Since reading this book, I have had my own encounters in the woods and on our property – both hearing and smelling these creatures. I can attest that the smell is awful and unlike anything I have EVER been around, including ripe, 3-day old, roadkill skunk.

How to deal with cryptids –

As Mr. Carpenter mentions in his book, using the name of Jesus and the authority you have as one of His followers is effective against these creatures. I discovered this personally. Without a personal relationship with Jesus, there is no ultimate power to deal with these probable inter-dimensional beings. There are some animistic, fear-based methodologies that might buy temporary relief when having problems with them, but the trade-offs to get that relief are often worse than the harassment from these beings.

If Mr. Carpenter’s conclusion in this book that Bigfoot and other similar types of cryptid creatures are hybrids – combo creatures, or Nephillim, or whatever you want to call them – then they are a product of the Genesis 6 intermingling of fallen angels and human women. It makes sense to me that, if this is truly the case, the New Covenant that Jesus enacted by His death and resurrection are our operational guidelines. He made a public display of principalities and powers (Colossians 2:15) and triumphed over them. Therefore, as followers of Jesus, He has both equipped and empowered His people to deal with demons and hybrids.

Fiction can contain a great deal of truth –

I talk about some of these things in the Quantum Spacewalker series in a fictionalized format, along with a weapon to utilize against hybrids. Fun stuff!
